China Money-Market Rates Rise to Highest This Year; Yuan Stable

July 14 — China’s money-market rates rose to their steepest levels this year after the central bank sold bills at higher yields for a third week, adding to evidence it’s trying to rein in lending. Local bonds dropped and the yuan was little changed.
